i have a pretty strong tradition of pajama pants sewing for kids clothes week, especially for this kid here. LET THE TRADITION CONTINUE.
pajama pants are the perfect way to turn a really fun print into something wearable and cozy. boy prints can be hard to find projects for, but PJ pants are always a winner i think. Continue reading
i have missed more regular blogging and i figure kid’s clothes week is a great reason to stay up late for the good of the cause (and to get back in the swing of things!).
sewing and blogging keeps me sane, so i really need to try to make more time for it again…we’ll see how it plays out. it is springtime, after all, and it’s been a sunny one for us here! so anyway, i thought i’d kick off KCW by clearing one out of my “to blog” queue…Em’s Easter dress.

i did not predict how having a second boy would affect my sewing output. i should’ve – i’m a pretty practical person. but now i know that if i spend time sewing for O, two little fellas will be able to wear it. C now wears O’s handmade hand-me-downs, and it’s pretty darn cute.
plus i’m a firm believer in “boy clothes can be fun and exciting too,” especially when the kiddo has a say in them!
so once again, this guy gets to show off a whole new outfit.
as of today, i’ve been blogging for four years. i’ve been “a blogger” for most of this kid’s life! kinda crazy.
i started the blog after resisting jumping into it for a while, but after Erin and Danielle both made me realize it would be way better than just posting photos on flickr, i finally went for it. blogging really has changed my life in a bunch of ways – i’ve met people around the world (and even here in town) that i never would have met, it’s pushed me to sew things i never would’ve sewn, i’ve felt encouragement and support and i’ve learned so much – it’s just been really cool.
my posting has been a bit more sporadic since kid #3 came on the scene – basically i realized sleep is really important (i’m getting better at limiting my obligations to others so i can sew/blog at my own pace), but i still love having this space, am proud of what i’ve built here, and excited to continue to share what i make because i love the give and take of it all. so hey! thanks for a great four years! let’s talk about some pants.
