so the reason things have been pretty quiet on the blog is…we were on maui all week!
i didn’t mention it because i don’t like saying when i’ll be away from home…probably unnecessary paranoia but whatever.
leading up to the trip, i was sewing like crazy because there were a few projects i wanted to photograph there (brought four, photographed three). the kids passed illness back and forth up until a day before we left, i had a death in the family, and getting ready to be away from work was insane. the universe really made us earn this vacation!
since it was hawaii, it was awesome of course. portland has notoriously unreliable summer weather until late july, so just knowing it would be swimming weather every day was pretty much bliss.
anyway, i have FOUR guest posts/blog tours/pattern reviews/etc. coming up in the month of july, with the first up later this week. so if you’ve been missing new projects like I’ve missed posting them, they’re coming! i’d link to everything now but I’m blogging from my phone, so please stay tuned.
mahalo for reading! 🙂
I don’t think it’s paranoia – I don’t even mention on facebook if I’m out for a couple hours lol
ha! that’s funny.
Looks amazing!! Hope everyone is healthy now. 🙂 I don’t post about where I’ve been until after I’m back; I don’t think it’s paranoia, I think it’s smart.
everyone is healthy now, phew! we pulled it together. yeah you just never know who’s reading, right?
Um, can you say jealous? (because I am – well, not jealous about the death in the family, crazy work, and sick kids but definitely jealous about your trip). I’m so glad to hear that you had a fantastic time…you earned it!
thanks, girl. the trip had been planned for so long, but it seemed like everything converged right before we left. i know you feel me on the weather part, though!
So jealous!!! That’s soooo very awesome!!! I hope you are having a wonderful trip!!!!
thanks, kat! it was great. 🙂
It sounds like you more than deserve this trip! So glad it’s been fabulous! Great photos!
thanks! amazing what your cell phone can do these days, eh?
Oh, lucky you to be in Hawaii. Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation. Welcome back!
thanks, trinh!
Oh, Kristin!! So much fun! The pictures are beautiful, I can’t wait to hear more!
more projects coming up…i never know if people want to see straight vacation recap photos, but maybe i’ll do one of those too. hehe.
Oh, how wonderful to have a blessed week away from it all – and in Hawaii, no less! Hope it was a restful week that helped you to recharge from the pre-trip craziness. Looking forward to seeing the new projects!
you can’t help but relax in hawaii, for sure. everything there is “no worries.” 🙂
Looks like you had an amazing time. Welcome back!
thanks robin!
welcome home!!!!!
thanks gail!
Sounds like a wonderful vacation! We lived on Oahu for a couple of years and, yes, REALLY enjoyed the weather. Can’t wait to see all the fun stuff you have coming up!
we were thinking it’d be weird around christmas to feel like it’s summertime; i love the weather there but think i might actually miss the changing seasons! there’s something about being so sick of gloomy weather that makes hawaii feel like stepping into the world of color on wizard of oz…guess i’m a true portlander at heart, eh? 😉
Love that first pic, so cute. Sounds like it was a well earned break and that pool looks sooo inviting.
thanks! cousin dance parties are a regular occurrence.
Not paranoid, I do the same thing… there used to be a whole website/blog called please Rob Me… it was just to prove a point that people overshared info on social media. Anyway…. hope you had a wonderful time in Hawaii – I haven’t been since I was 19!!! Sorry to hear about someone passing away too xx
YIPES! i’ve heard there’s a similar blog that just shows people’s debit card numbers (of those that have been dumb enough to post photos of their debit cards on the internet). crazy.
I never write about vacations on my blog. Now if you follow on instagram… =)
um yeah, same here (haha). my instagram is private, though, so i feel like i have a bit more control – i only accept people i “know.” every so often i’ll see a google search term that someone used to get to my blog and it freaks me out. at that point, i’m glad i’m careful.
Your clothing is amazing! I also love the background on your blog. Think you have a quilt there!
